We were thrilled to produce and deliver Priya and Euan’s beautiful wedding at Avington Park this Summer. Avington Park is a privately owned estate set in beautiful parklands in Winchester, United Kingdom. Once home to King Charles II, the picturesque grounds and lavish interiors make Avington Park the perfect setting for a wedding.
GETTING TO KNOW THE COUPLE
Priya and Yaz were introduced to us by a previous client. They had decided on Avington Park as their wedding venue a few months earlier, but with their busy roles working as Doctors in the NHS they knew that they needed the support of an experienced luxury wedding planner to bring their vision to life. They hoped for a traditional day full of joyous celebration, abundant floral designs and above all, a spectacular experience for their guests. Priya’s family in particular, travelled from as far as Jamiaca so ensuring their guests had the best possible experience was at the heart of the wedding plans.
The first step in planning Priya and Yaz’s wedding at Avington Park was to really get to know the couple. We pride ourselves on producing thoughtfully planned weddings so this stage is incredibly important. We spent a lot of time just chatting and asking lots of questions, delving into the couples vision for their wedding. We then set about creating an inspiration guide, providing visual imagery of what could be achieved within their budget to conceptualise their wedding.
CURATING THE TEAM
The next step in our plans was to curate a supplier team that could deliver Priya and Yaz’s perfect wedding at Avington Park. The couple had already chosen some of their suppliers, including the brilliant Kristen Levin who’s photographs you see on this post . A wedding that was quintessentially British, while still being modern was a big part of the brief so it was only right that we added The W Studio to our supplier team. The W Studio provided beautiful ivory sofas and soft furnishings, as well as a distinctive yet simple white Bar which complemented the overall look.
The floral design was an essential part of creating the vision for this wedding at Avington Park, which is why I was thrilled when Catherine Coombes Floral Design joined our team. Her genius designs complemented the look perfectly, with the most gorgeous flowing floral arrangements throughout the venue. In the opulent Versailles Ballroom, Catherine’s team designed an incredible mantlepiece that provided the framing for the wedding ceremony as well as a luxurious meadown of flowers to line the aisle.
Another essential part of this wedding was to understand the guest experience. With Priya’s family originating from Jamaica, and Yaz’s family from the UK, it was important that we understood the nuances of their two different family cultures. Coming from a multicultural background myself I deeply understood the sensitivies that can exist which is why I was thrilled to see both of their families on the dance floor all night!
We just wanted to say how absolutely wonderful you have been to us, both in the months preceding our wedding and again on the weekend. You gave us the luxury of being able to enjoy the day with no worries, and really went above and beyond. In particular, you blew us away with how incredible our day was.

Something that I deeply loved about this wedding was seeing how much fun Priya and Yaz had on their day. Their ceremony in particular, was a beautiful moment to witness. It was no surprise given how lovely they both were throughout the planning of their wedding! A wedding at Avington Park requires many different elements and a carefully curated team of suppliers so their trust in me was paramount to producing the exact wedding that they desired.

Like many couples, they had begun to plan the wedding themselves but realised that the conceptualisation of their ideas required the experienced of an accomplished luxury wedding planner. We were able to bring to life their vision of a quintessential British wedding, curating a skillful team of wedding suppliers, while still creating a day that was deeply personal and conveyed their own family traditions.
