As a UK wedding planner, there’s something truly special about planning a wedding at a family home, especially one nestled within a breathtaking private estate in the Scottish Highlands. This sensational destination wedding in Scotland was the perfect blend of laid-back charm, joyful celebration and unforgettable detail. It was planned with care for a couple based in London who were referred to me by a previous client who married several years ago at Cornwell Manor in the Cotswolds.
The bride’s family home offered the most idyllic setting for a weekend of celebrations. With sweeping views across the loch, a walled garden filled with colour, and a private beach for sundowners, it was the perfect blank canvas for a marquee wedding. Of course, there were lots of logistics to consider. Planning a multi-day event on a rural estate always requires detailed coordination, which is where the support of an experienced wedding coordinator becomes invaluable.
Yesterday was magical thank you. it literally wouldn’t have happened without you. We are so grateful that you gave us the day we’ve always dreamed of.

Welcome DRINKS on the beach
The celebrations began on Friday as guests arrived and settled into holiday cottages dotted across the estate. That evening, the Bride and Groom hosted welcome drinks on the private beach. The weather was glorious, with sunshine and golden skies lighting up the Highlands. It was a relaxed and joyful way to kick off the weekend, with old friends reconnecting and new ones mingling against the most picturesque backdrop.
CEREMONY overlooking the loch
Saturday started with welcome drinks and a traditional bagpiper greeting guests on the lawn. We served chilled Champagne and Palomas, the bride’s favourite cocktail, before guiding guests to the ceremony area overlooking the loch. The view was breathtaking. With perfect weather and a beautifully personal ceremony, it was one of those moments that felt completely timeless.

COCKTAILS in the walled GARDEN
After the ceremony, guests were led to the walled garden for cocktails. The garden was in full bloom and filled with music, laughter and the scent of fresh flowers. The incredibly talented team at Gloam brought the space to life with colour and texture.
DINNER and dancing in the MARQUEE
Dinner was a true celebration of Scotland’s finest produce. Working with Pop Conscious Catering and a brilliant local chef, we served Denhead asparagus to start, followed by loin of fallow deer from the estate. For pudding, sticky toffee — an indulgent favourite chosen by the bride’s sister.
The Phat Cats kept the marquee full all night with sensational live music and a packed dancefloor. As midnight approached, guests were invited outside for a surprise fireworks display over the loch, enjoyed with whisky cocktails as the sky lit up in celebration.

SUNDAY brunch with IBIZA vibes
On Sunday, the weekend concluded with a laid-back brunch on the lawns. Long, relaxed tables were set up outside and guests tucked into wood-fired pizza and drinks. A roaming sax player and DJ duo brought sunny Ibiza energy to the Scottish countryside — a joyful, unexpected twist that perfectly captured the fun-loving spirit of the weekend!
